-Waris Shah (1722-1798) poet, writer of the epic ballad Heer Ranjha.
-30 March is Guddi Padva, celebrated as the new year. The guddi is a staff placed outside the house. 31 March is Eid.
-Heritage Village, Manesar, Gurgaon where the poet stayed and wrote the poem 'Manesar' in 1998.
