The lanes are buzzing
the bars are packed
lads and lasses
spill out onto the street.
A young woman
lights a cigarette
for her lady friend.
KL, KA - even MP
They are all here.
Two Pints is closed
So we head to Godinhos
Chicken Xacuti
and a beef steak
round off Teachers' Day.
A little distance away
a homeless man
outside Cafe Udupi
wraps a sheet around him
as he settles down
in a chair for the night.
