| IRIS Dena of the Iranian Navy. |
A lethal strike
from the waters beneath
the Dena arches
as the torpedo breaks her bow.
Idling after the IFR
off the coast of Sri Lanka
80 sailors on deck
never knew what was coming.
Struck without warning
transiting to Hormuz
the Moudge-class destroyer
became a tomb for its own.
Leaving the 'City of Destiny'
Sunk during the 'middle watch'
Vizagites wail
over the loss of selfie-friends
Who will tell their stories?
Who will return their bodies?
Buried at sea
1000 km. from home.
