Blogging is about knowing our own self and also introducing us to our own skills.

                                                       -Vedha Gauns

The session was quite interesting  it gave me a good knowledge about blogging and motivated me to start blogging.

                                                         -Atharv Joshi

The session was quite interactive and easy to understand. In today's world having a hard copy and maintaining it is not possible. Writing a blog helps us to recollect and store our memories.

                                                  -Leezane Fernandes

The session gave me a clear idea about our personal touch and to express ourselves confidently in the form of blogs.

                                            -Anisha Prabhu Dessai

Today's session was very informative and nice. It emphasized that in blogging we can express our thoughts, feelings and develop our skills.

Thus far, I have only read blogs.  Brian has persuaded me that my thoughts count!

Spent a fruitful morning in Quepem college today. I did a session on blogging for the students. I was invited by Ms. Deepa Prajith, Head, Department of English, at GCQ.

In the beginning students did not know what to expect. As I unfolded the experience of blogging they seemed to warm to it a little. The huge smart board - a new addition to the college - made it easy for me to take them through my blog.

First I asked the students to create their own free blog at www.blogger.com. To encourage them to create their own content I asked them how they wrote, i.e.  with pen or digitally. Most preferred the former. I asked them to take a blank page and do something with it.

I showed students my latest blog on KLF 2026. I pointed out that it was made up of three parts, i.e. posters, writing, and hyperlinks. In this way the blogpost optimised blog features. Through hyperlinks it made possible a virtual immersion into the Kerala Literature Festival in January 2026, even if you had not been there.

I showed how copyright was sacrosanct. One should always credit the source, in this case the KLF official website which hosted the posters and session reports. Further, one can always update a blogpost. Just before coming for the session, I had added one more link to the post. After doing so I updated the post at the bottom and put the date it was updated. This keeps the content relevant.
