Scholar Malleshappa Kalburgi (77) was shot in the head on a morning walk in 2015. Gauri Lankesh, Govind Pansare, and Narendra Dabholkar met with a similar fate. The killers have not been apprehended.
The distance from Panaji to Kalaburagi in North Karnataka is 457 kms. which can be covered in 10 hours.
