Today, the last day of the year, is also a Sunday. It is the feast of the Holy Family, viz. Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
The parish priest of Kharghar church delivered an inspiring sermon on the occasion. Noting the rise in the number of couples who come to him for anulment, he felt that a family should practise the 5 C's to keep their sacramental bond alive.
1. COMMITMENT - couples need to be committed to each other. Remember what you said at the altar, 'In sickness and in health, I will honour and cherish you all the days of my life. '
2. COMMUNICATION - the family must communicate with each other. One needs to know what the other feels/ is feeling. Share your problems.
