Tomorrow is the last day of the 54th International film festival here in Goa.

The highlight will definitely be the gala Asia Premiere of Featherweight - the closing film of the festival. The American feature film is the directorial debut of Robert Kolodny - American director, writer, and cinematographer.

The commendation observes that ‘it unravels the mythmaking and the fiction of modern stardom through the biopic of a star athlete, meticulously conceived in the cinema verite aesthetic.’

Catch the Kannada film Kantara In the International competition section  - if you haven’t watched it yet. Woman of   is a Polish film about a trans woman.

In the Indian Panorama, feature section Iratta is a Malayalam film about the murder of a police officer.

In Cinema of the World, teenager Jenny learns to face the future in Twenty20. From the Czech Republic comes Endless Summer Syndrome about a husband being involved with their adopted child.

Intergrade is a curated section of experimental films that have dared to speak in original, idiosyncratic voices to push the boundaries of what we call cinema. Omen, in this genre, presents four characters accused of being witches, in Africa.

In the docu-montage section Vista Mare exposes the subterfuge involved in creating ‘a holiday in the sun’ to amuse vacationers in Italy.

In the restored classics section you would not want to miss Mrinal Sen’s inventive Chorus (1974), or the Marathi film Shyamchi Aai released sixty years ago.

Little Singham and Bahubali friends, in the animation category, save Mirchi nagar from Aparshatru.

In the UNICEF@IFFI section watch the Iranian film Singo to find out whether the girl manages to save the horseshoe crabs on the island.

As the curtains come down on the 54th iffi here in Goa, the bonhomie and warmth it exuded, leads us to ask - is it time for one world cinema? Answering the question is none other than Hollywood’s living legend, Michael Douglas, in conversation with Shailendra Singh.

That’s a preview of what’s happening tomorrow on the last day, here at iffi, Goa. So long and happy viewing.
