'Morocco hanging by their fingernails'

Morocco jubilant after eliminating Spain.

- Brian Mendonca

Morocco beating Spain in the world cup was historic. Separated by a strip of the Mediterranean they represent the Arab world and Europe respectively.

Morocco in North Africa was where the intrepid traveller Ibn Batuta was born and passed on. The sultan commissioned Batuta to document the ways of life of the Muslim community.

Tangiers in Morocco is also the place which is described by Mark Twain in his travelogue. He makes unflattering observations about the Arabs and the sultan of Morocco.
