dipping our toes

Urrak at Calamari

as we sipped on me.

From a decade ago

where deck chairs lounge

From dawn to noon 

one must live.

Memories gather

of breakfast buffets

Dad so loved

after Sunday Mass. 

Alone, on our own

we blink at the horizon.

The runes of the sea

have all the answers.

It's April

It's summer

The skies are clear

Sip the cashew fast.

Smell the present here.

Calamari Bathe and Binge

We drove to HQ hotel, Vasco for a buffet breakfast and had lunch the same day at Calamari, Candolim, Goa. The term 'Urrakitini' is from the special drinks menu at HQ serving urrak concoctions at this time of the year. Calamari is a name to denote squid. It is a seafood delicacy had with tartar sauce.
