I practically stumbled upon this imposing property while I was having a cup of coffee this morning. Shrouded among the immense greenery of Old Goa or Bainguinim plateau is this gem which is just a breath beyond Sunshine Worldwide School, on the way to the fabled city of Old Goa. It immediately recalled our visit to the Sawantwadi palace in nearby Maharashtra. For want of a better term I have called it 'Revankar Estate' from what I read on the plaque. The family hails from Karwar as the plaque reads. But little is known of this imposing place. A preliminary search on the internet did not throw up anything. Just another secret hideaway in a corner of Goa, India. Until I can update this blog.

The plaque reads: 'In memory of brother Shankar and mother Ramabai -- This entrance gate has been offered by Vitthal Dulba Revankar, Karwar at the feet of the Lord.' Translated by Sushma Sonak. All photos taken this morning by me on Asus Zenfone 2. Updated 12 September 2021.
