NEET Effect

The NEET exam was conducted all over India last Sunday, i.e. 12th September 2021. It was a massive exercise involving a huge contingent of personnel sourced from the HSS and School teaching and non-teaching staff, security personnel and ideators. The National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) is an exam on the basis of which a student can apply for medical courses in India. It is a set of multiple choice questions which the students have to answer over a three hour period from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on a Sunday. The question paper is made available in several languages

This time the NEET exam in Goa was held during the Ganesh holidays. The response was good considering the fact that the exam was being held under pandemic conditions. All SOPs for COVID-19 were followed. To avoid any transport issues students started trooping in as early as 11 a.m. when entry was opened to the centres.

On account of the high stakes involved, the students are under a lot of pressure to perform. The intricate nature of answering the questions also leads to mistakes due to nervousness or ignorance.
