Written as senior politicians ditch their parties in the run-up to the polls in Goa. I also bought an Eveready digiLED rechargeable torch yesterday.
Eveready: Name of company previously owned by Union Carbide with headquarters in Kolkata
TMC: Trinamool Congress, Kolkata
Union Carbide: 40 tons of methyl isocyanate gas leaked from the plant of Union Carbide, Bhopal suffocating thousands of sleeping people in the wee hours of 3 December 1984. The effects continue today. The director fled the country.
