Backstory:
Franz Schubert (1797-1828) composed much Romantic music in his brief life. The 'Moments Musicaux' were written for the Viennese public who loved to listen to 'musical album leaves' like that of Beethoven's Bagatelles (Opus 33) composed in 1802. They are written in the style of the popular dances of the time.
