About: Francesco Mancini (1672-1727) was a composer who lived in Naples, Italy. He was known for his secular as well as sacred works. He was a contemporary of Vivaldi (1678-1741). He was a teacher at the Neopolitan court between 1702-08.

The Missa Septimus is a reverent evocation of the liturgy of the Latin rite of the Mass and is divided into two parts the Kyrie (Lord Have Mercy) and the Gloria.
