About: This is one of the last three of Beethoven's 32 sonatas. The last three were composed by Beethoven between 1820-23. The other two are Opus 110 and Opus 111.  They were composed when Beethoven (1770-1827) was completely deaf. Despite this, the last three sonatas widened the scope of the sonata form. During this time he also produced his Missa Solemnis and his Ninth Symphony. His influences were Domenico Scarlatti and Mozart. Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany and passed on in Vienna, Austria.
